Viet Nam wants further cooperation with Hungary

15/10/2007 -- 9:39 PM

Ha Noi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed that Viet Nam wants to boost multifaceted cooperation with Hungary, particularly in economics, trade, investment and tourism.

The PM made the remark while meeting with the newly-appointed Hungarian Ambassador, Vizi Laszlo, in Ha Noi on October 15.

He said that two-way trade between Viet Nam and Hungary, which stands at 60 million USD, is below the two country’s potential for cooperation. He also expressed his wish that the ambassador would help further bolster bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Laszlo said Viet Nam and Hungary are actively working on the establishment of a business council, aiming to accelerate economic and trade cooperation.

He added that a joint committee of the two countries will meet in Ha Noi in December this year to implement an agreement on Hungary’s preferential loans for Viet Nam and to discuss cooperation in software and real estate development.-Enditem
