HCM City (VNA) - Vietnamese consumers ranked high among 47 markets worldwide in their trust of advertising, according to a recent survey by US-based Nielsen company.

Conducted biennially, the survey this year interviewed 26,486 internet users in Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Americas and the Middle East .

The Nielsen survey found that Filipinos and Brazilians (67 percent) were the most trusting overall of all forms of advertising, while trust among Danes (28 percent) Italians (32 percent), Lithuanians (34 percent and Germans (35 percent) was the lowest.

Viet Nam ranked 8 th in trust of all forms of advertising, with 60 percent.

Despite Viet Nam ’s level of trust in many ads, a major finding was that consumers around the world still placed their highest level of trust in other consumers.

Nielsen asked respondents how they viewed 13 types of advertising, from conventional newspaper and television ads to branded websites and consumer-general content.-Enditem
