VN-Index, HaSTC-Index on the rise

Ha Noi (VNA) - The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) and its Ha Noi-based counterpart recorded strong increases by the end of the October 24 trading session. HoSE’s VN-Index increased by 20.91 points to close at 1,096.2 points. More than 12.77 million shares, worth over 1.1 trillion VND, changed hands. The day witnessed 93 stocks rally for gains, 13 remain unchanged and 16 fall. Blue chips, the Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT), Kinh Do Corporation (KDC), Binh Minh Plastics (BMP), Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (STB), Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE) and PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services (PVD), were among the shares that recorded gains. The HaSTC-Index at the Ha Noi Securities Trading Center rose 8.22 points to finish at 377.51 points. Song Da Construction shares recorded the biggest increase with Song Da 505 (S55) tacking 18,300 VND onto its listed price. The session saw more than 6 million shares worth 670 billion VND being traded.-Enditem
