Ha Noi (VNA) – Capitalisation of listed securities on Viet Nam ’s bourses is forecast to surge during the remain months of the year, according to experts.
The listing of Phu My Fertiliser, capitalised at 3.8 trillion VND, on the Ho Chi Minh City bourse will increase the HoSE’s value by 10 percent, he added.
Fifty other companies will also list their shares on Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City bourses over the next two months.
Increased listed price is another factor leading to a rise in the market’s value, said Trinh Viet Cuong, senior advisor of Japanese Okasan securities company.
Prices of listed shares increased by 40 percent on average over the last month at the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre, and 13 percent at the HoSE.
Among the newcomers, Petrosetco (PET) set a record of a 90 percent increase in its price since it made IPO on Sept. 3, while Vincom real estate developer (VIC), which joined the bourse on Oct. 8, saw a rise of nearly 50 percent and Construction JSC No. 5 (SC5), 21 percent since Oct. 17.
At present, listed shares on Viet Nam’s stock markets are valued at 423 trillion VND (26.44 billion USD), or close to 40 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), while the figure in 2006 was 255 trillion VND (15.94 billion USD), accounted for 22.6 percent of GDP.-Endtiem
