Vietnamese business seminar in Russia

28/10/2007 -- 8:49 PM

Moscow (VNA) – A seminar on business regulations and opportunities was held for the Vietnamese community in Moscow on October 27.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Bui Dinh Dinh said Russia ’s new regulations on emigrants, immigrants and market management presents a “big challenge” to Russia ’s Vietnamese community because many selling consumer goods have not yet gained long-term resident permits.

The Vietnamese diplomat said the Vietnamese community has overcome many difficulties and changed their business activities to comply with Russia ’s new regulations.

However, he noted this change is only temporary and not sustainable.

The ambassador suggested Vietnamese businesses focus on activities like garment manufacturing as a way to take advantage of opportunities created by the changes.-Enditem
