Capital to get more high-end hotel rooms

Ha Noi (VNA) – The capital city of Ha Noi will see the five-star Inter Continental Hotel to open its doors in early 2008, adding a further 327 high-end rooms to the market.

Five other five-star hotels, including Riviera , Crown Plaza , Keangnam, Orix and Charmvit, are also in the pipeline after receiving licenses.

These new hotels are expected to supply the market with an additional 3,700 rooms by 2010.

At present, Ha Noi is home to 38 four-star and five-star hotels, which boast as many as 3,238 rooms. According to a survey conducted by the real estate services company, CB Richard Ellis (CRRE), the usage rate of five-star hotel rooms in Ha Noi was 74.35 percent by the end of the third quarter of this year.

Five-star hotel rooms cost around 124.5 USD each on average, said CBRE.-Enditem
