Producers try to secure firm niche in Cambodia

Phnom Penh (VNA) – Vietnamese producers are working to win the trust of Cambodian consumers at the Viet Nam-Cambodia Trade Fair that opened on November 3 in Phnom Penh . Some 120 Vietnamese businesses bring farm products, food, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, electrical appliances, chemicals and consumer goods to display at the event. The fair, entitled “Friendship, cooperation and development,” is co-organised by the ministries of defence and trade and industry of Viet Nam and Cambodia . In 2006, Viet Nam and Cambodia made a two-way trade turnover of 935 million USD. The two countries grossed 790 million USD in the past eight months and expect to reap 1 billion USD for the whole year.-Enditem
