Quang Ngai (VNA) – The central Quang Ngai province is seeking investment for 79 projects from now until 2010.
They include 20 projects that are located out of the province’s Dung Quat Economic Zone and industrial zones, 37 projects in the Dung Quat Economic Zone, and 22 in industrial zones.
Lying out of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and industrial zones are projects involved in trade, services and tourism.
Located in the Dung Quat Economic Zone are projects engaged in industrial production.
Those in the Tinh Phong, Quang Phu and Pho Quang industrial zones focus on the making of wooden furniture, consumer goods and construction materials.
By the end of October, the Dung Quat Economic Zone had granted licences to 125 projects totalling 8.64 billion USD. One-third of these have been operational.
Businesses at the Dung Quat Economic Zone are expected to record an industrial production value of 600 billion VND, a service turnover of 80 billion VND, and an export earning of 30 million USD this year. They plan to contribute close to 600 billion VND to the State budget.
The Tinh Phong and Quang Phu industrial zones have attracted 75 projects with a total investment capital of 1,513 billion VND.
The two industrial zones plan to earn an industrial production value of 1,200 billion VND, an export turnover of 20 million USD, and budget collection of 200 billion VND in 2007.-Enditem
