HCM City (VNA) – Italian cruise liner, the Costa Allegra, anchored at Sai Gon port in Ho Chi Minh City on November 5, bringing 1,200 international tourists to the southern economic hub of Viet Nam .
The tourists, most of them are from Italy, the UK and Spain, are slated to visit places of interests in the city before embarking on scenic tours to central Viet Nam covering Hoi An ancient town in Da Nang city, and historical relics in the former imperial city of Hue.
During the 2007-2008 period, HCM City-based Saigontourist Travel Service Company plans to receive 11arrivals of foreign tourists on board at Ha Long Bay, 15 in Ho Chi Minh City and 18 in Da Nang city.
The company has received 36,200 international holidaymakers on board over the past 10 months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 87 percent.-Enditem
