Real estate developer gives 31,000 USD to poor

HCM City (VNA) – Property developer Phu My Hung Corp. will donate 500 million VND (31,000 USD) to the Ho Chi Minh City Sponsors’ Association for Poor Patients. The company announced the donation during a meeting held to honour the association’s late chairman, Nguyen Vinh Nghiep, on November 29. The deputy chairman of the association, Nguyen Trong Xuat, said the donation would be earmarked to grant scholarships to poor and handicapped students in 2008. The donation brings total scholarships funded by Phu My Hung Corp. from 2006 to 2008 to 1.5 billion VND (93,000 USD).-Enditem
