Seven landslide victims recovered

Nghe An (VNA) – By the evening of Dec. 18, rescue workers have found seven bodies out of 18 victims of a landslide that occurred three days before at the Ban Ve hydro-electric plant in central Nghe An province.

Due to the deformities of these bodies, relevant agencies of the Ministries of Public Health and Defence and Nghe An province are taking necessary measures to help the victims’ families identify their relatives.

Thai Son, Deputy General Director of the Song Da construction company and head of the Ban Ve hydro-electric project’s management board, said that the board will ask the Nghe An Police to collect ADN from unidentified bodies.

The landslide occurred at the Ban Ve plant has buried 18 workers under 800,000 tonnes of stone at the depth of 30-50m.-Enditem
