Apollo students get into the spirit of the Christmas season

Ha Noi (VNA) – Christmas is coming this weekend as hundreds of Apollo students in Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City get ready for their festive party. The fun-packed events aim to boost students’ confidence in communicating in English as well as teach them more about the customs of other countries, organizers said. Activities include making decorations in preparation for Christmas eve; a Christmas card design contest and gift sharing event with children at the SOS Village in Hai Phong and Mai Am Tuong Lai (Warm Roof of the Future) Centre for children with disabilities in Ho Chi Minh City . As well as playing festive games like Fill the Christmas Stocking and Pass the Parcel, the kids will join requisite guest Santa Clause in singing popular Christmas songs in English such as Jingle Bell Rock, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Frasty the Snowman. Inviting a competitive edge to the Christmas spirit, organizers will hand out prizes for Best Decorated Pine Tree, Most Interesting Christmas Card, Quaint Wish and the Most Impressive Gift. Apollo students in Ha Noi and Da Nang also enjoyed similar events last weekend.-Enditem
