OV in Canada raise funds for flood-hit provinces

Ha Noi (VNA) – Overseas Vietnamese community in Toronto (Canada) has raised a sum equal to 270 million VND to help flood-hit central provinces in Viet Nam.

Receiving the sum, Vietnamese Ambassador to Canada Nguyen Duc Hung said overseas Vietnamese in Canada always think of their homeland and are willing to help disadvantaged people in the country.

The Viet Nam Red Cross President Tran Ngoc Tang made known that the Red Cross had by December 10 received around 45.8 billion VND in donation for the central provinces from international and domestic associations and organisations.-Enditem
