China and India to hold joint military exercises

20/12/2007 -- 4:25 PM

New Dehli (VNA) – India and China will conduct a joint anti-terror drill from December 21-28, marking a milestone in defence relations between the two countries since 1962, foreign media reported.

The weeklong drill is scheduled to take place in China’s south-western province of Yunnan, drawing the participation of about 100 troops from each country.

"The joint training is aimed at enhancing understanding and mutual trust between Chinese and Indian armies and strengthening their exchanges in the anti-terror areas," China’s Xinhua news agency said.-Enditem
