US company to help develope Quang Ninh’s EZ

Quang Ninh (VNA) – The Millennium Global Solution Group (MIGS) of the US will cooperate with northern coastal Quang Ninh province in zoning off and developing its Van Don Economic Zone. Under a recent deal inked between MIGS and the local People’s Committee, MIGS will coordinate with the Ministry of Construction’s Urban and Rural Development Institute to map out a plan to develop the Van Don EZ. They will complete the plan within 10 months. Under the PM’s decision in July, the economic zone will cover the whole Van Don district’s 2,170 sq.m, including a township and 11 communes with 600 islands in Bai Tu Long bay. The Van Don EZ, together with a deep water port and Hon Mieu industrial zone in the neighbouring Hai Ha district and the Mong Cai border gate city, is part of a plan to develop Quang Ninh province’s northeastern region, which is known for its UNESCO-recognised world heritage Ha Long Bay. The EZ will be developed into a marine ecotourism site with an international airport as well as a service and trade centre.-Enditem
