Ha Noi (VNA) – France’s weekly newspaper “I’Usine Nouvelle” has run an article, saying that Viet Nam’s future will become true.
The paper writes that Viet Nam had long been considered a country of the future and now the situation has changed.
The country has just joined the World Trade Organisation (WTO), officially starting integrating into the world economy and the process of globalisation, the paper says. However, it stresses, Viet Nam has become a dragon in Asia.
It is not an imagination, “I’Usine Nouvelle” notes, producing evidence that there is a boom in foreign investment into Viet Nam with the peak in 2007 when the country attracted more than 20 billion USD, higher than India’s reported record level. Especially, Viet Nam’s GDP has continuously increased since 2004 at an annual average rate of 8 percent, the French weekly elaborates.
Viet Nam is not only a well-known producer of garment and footwear, but also an appealing destination for international corporations, the paper writes, adding that the US Intel Corporation has invested billions of US dollars in building a microchip facility in Ho Chi Minh City and Japan’s Canon Corporation has built three facilities to produce printers for export. –Enditem
