Envoy attends Honorary Consul’s funeral in Germany

Berlin (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Tran Duc Mau last week attended the funeral of Hans-Bernd Giesler, Honorary General Consul of Viet Nam in Hamburg, who died on December 25, 2007, at the age of 78. On behalf of the Vietnamese Party and State, Ambassador Mau offered deep sympathies on the death of Hans-Bernd Giesler, who had made great contributions to strengthening multi-faceted cooperation between Viet Nam and Germany over the past 40 years. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem also sent a wreath and a message of condolences to his wife and family. Giesler became Honorary General Consul of Viet Nam in Hamburg in 1997.-Enditem
