Hoa Sen, Gemadept join hands to build sea port

HCM City (VNA) – Hoa Sen Group and Gemadept Corporation on January 16 signed a cooperation deal to build a 1 trillion VND sea port. Under the agreement, Hoa Sen group contributes 45 percent while Gemadept, 51 percent of the total investment. The remaining is contributed by several other partners. The port, in Cai Mep-Thi Vai deep water port complex in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, will include a 300m quay and a logistic service area. When operational in 2010, the port will be able to handle 2 million tonnes of cargos per annum. Its capacity will then be increased to 4 million tonnes.-Enditem
