Meeting celebrates Viet Nam-China diplomatic ties

Ha Noi (VNA) – The Viet Nam-China Friendship Association (VCFO) held a meeting in Ha Noi on January 16 to mark the 58 th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries (Jan. 18). President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organisations Vu Xuan Hong and Chinese Ambassador to Viet Nam Hu Qianwen were present at the event. Speaking at the meeting, VCFO Vice President Bui Hong Phuc and Ambassador Hu Qianwen expressed their delights at new developments in the bilateral economic-trade relations with last year’s two-way trade estimated at 14 billion USD. Phuc also said he believes that the friendship and cooperation between the two neighbours will further develop in 2008, meeting the aspiration and practical benefits of the two peoples. He affirmed that the VCFO will continue to work hard for the development of the traditional relationship.-Enditem
