Da Nang city aims 350 million USD in FDI

17/01/2008 -- 10:32 PM

Da Nang (VNA) – Central Da Nang city has set a target of 350 million USD of foreign direct investment (FDI) this year, a year-on-year increase of 50 million USD.

The city plans to call more foreign investment into the construction of high-rise buildings, hi-end apartments and offices for lease and boost investment in hi-tech industries, services, finance and banking, education and health care sectors.

Recent field visits by the United Arab Emirates investors showed the city’s effective investment promotion programmes towards non-traditional partners, apart from its traditional US, Japan and the Republic of Korea partners.

In 2008, the city plans to upgrade the Da Nang international airport and Da Nang sea port and build more bridges spanning Han river to create more favourable conditions for investors.-Enditem
