Filipino carrier to launch direct flights to Viet Nam

17/01/2008 -- 10:32 PM

Ha Noi (VNA) – The Philippines’s low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific on January 17 said that it would officially open new air routes from Manila to Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City from April this year.

The airline will provide services with a special price of 499 peso (12 USD) for single ticket, the Philippine TV GMA reported.

Cebu Pacific is interested in opening air routes to Viet Nam because this is one of tourist destinations with the fastest growth in Asia, Vice Director of the airline’s marketing Candice Iyog said. With the opening of the new air routes, Cebu Pacific hopes to promote trade and tourism between the two countries, she added.

As scheduled, the airline will start its services from Manila to Ha Noi three times a week from April 10, and from Manila to Ho Chi Minh City four times a week from April 11.-Enditem
