Dai Ninh hydro power project links to national grid

Binh Thuan (VNA) – The first generator group of the Dai Ninh hydro power project in Bac Binh district, central Binh Thuan province, was officially linked to the national electric grid on January 17. Earlier, from November 28, 2007-January 16, 2008, the 150 MW generator group was put into trial operation and generated 1.4 billion kWh to the national grid. The test run will last for 28 days before the official operation. The installation of the 2 nd generator group of the project has also completed, paving the way for its test run by the end of this month and connection with the national grid in March. The construction of 300 MW Dai Ninh hydro power project on Dong Nai river started in May 2003 at the cost of 440 million USD. When completed, the two turbine project will annually generate 1.2 billion kWh to the national grid.-Enditem
