Sacombank funds EVN power plan

Da Nang (VNA) – Sacombank has pledged to pump 900 billion VND (56 million USD) into infrastructure and electricity projects in the central region and the Central Highlands .

The plans include constructing a trans-national cable system; building power grids 200kV Sesan-Pleiku and 220kV Song Tranh 2- Tam Ky and an electric power plant in Dong Ha.

An agreement to this effect was signed by Sacombank and Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN)’s Management Board of the electricity sector in central Da Nang City on January 19. The event marked the opening of the bank’s new head-quarters in the city’s Hai Chau district.

The joint venture with EVN is expected to boost Sacombank’s position and prestige as one of the nation’s leading joint stock and commercial banks, as well as contribute to the socio-economic development of Da Nang and the central region, a representative from the bank said.-Enditem
