FPT subsidiary becomes Dell’s strategic partner

Ha Noi (VNA) – A member of the Financing and Promoting Technology Corporation (FPT) – FPT Information System Ltd. Co. – and the Dell Computer Corporation signed their strategic cooperation agreement in Ha Noi on January 23. Under the agreement, FPT IS will be Dell’s new agent in Viet Nam to supply Dell’s products for businesses. The company will also provide consultancy and assistance services for Dell’s services within the ASEAN region. Ng Tian Beng, Dell General Manager in South Asia and Taiwan , said the cooperation would help Dell Viet Nam to sell more products to large-scale businesses as well as the small- and medium-scale enterprises while diversifying their products and solutions. In Viet Nam , Dell will assist FPT IS to form networks of sales agents and after-sales services in line with Dell standards. Under the agreement, Dell’s products distributed by FPT IS will include Latitude laptops, OptiPlex desktop computers, Dell Precision workstations, Power Vault storage solutions, and PowerEdge servers. FPT IS now is a leading package information system supplier in the region. The company is the only company in Indochina owning four highest certificates including the Gold Partner of Cisco, Microsoft and Checkpoint, and the Certified Advantage Partner of Oracle.-Enditem
