Binh Duong (VNA) – Huyck Wangner Viet Nam Co. Ltd, an affiliate of the US-based global supplier of clothing and roll covers Xerium Technologies, Inc, on January 25 broke ground for its new 40 million USD Paper Machine Clothing (PMC) factory in the southern province of Binh Duong.
The 18,000-sq.m factory in Ben Cat district’s My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park will be the only manufacturer of PMC located in Viet Nam , and the largest and most modern facility in the Xerium Group, said Cheryl Diuguid, President of Xerium Asia, at the groundbreaking ceremony.
The state-of-the-art factory has an initial investment of 30 million USD and is expected to begin production in the third quarter of this year.
At full operation by the end of 2009, when the capital may increase to 40 million USD, the facility will have a capacity of 50,000sq.m of products per year for export to big markets such as China, Indonesia, Republic of Korea and Japan.-Enditem
