Ha Noi (VNA) – Table tennis player Doan Kien Quoc won the sole ticket in Southeast Asia to attend the 2008 Beijing Olympics after defeating Thailand ’s Phuchong in the final of the qualifying round.

Two Singaporean players, Giap Ning and Yang Zi, were allowed to go strait to the 2008 Olympics.

This will be the second time that Quoc, who is placed 265 th on the world ranking, represents the Southeast Asian region to the world’s biggest games, after the 2004 Athens Olympics.-Enditem
