Vietnamese puppeteers to play Myth on Fairy and Dragon

Ha Noi (VNA) – Vietnamese puppeteers will bring a show entitled “The Myth on the Fairy and the Dragon” to the International Puppet Festival in Ha Noi, which is slated for February 16 - 23. The puppeteers use both water puppets and string marionettes to portray the legend on Au Co and Lac Long Quan whose one hundred children were believed to be the ancestors of Viet Nam . Nguyen Hoang Tuan, Vice Director of the Thang Long Puppet Theatre and director of the show, said his theatre will invest in plays that combine water puppets and other kinds of puppets, such as hand, string or finger puppets to attract more audience to Viet Nam ’s unique art.-Enditem
