Binh Thuan province hits it big with tourists

15/02/2008 -- 11:38 AM

Binh Thuan (VNA) – Binh Thuan province welcomed over 38,000 visitors during Tet in the period between February 6 and 10.

With its efficient services and diverse entertainment, Binh Thuan, which is 200km northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, welcomed over 7,000 foreign tourists, mostly Russian, German, French, and Korean, a fifth more than last year.

The local tourism authority said the number of domestic travelers rose by almost a third while hotels reported over 95 percent occupancy.

Visitors reportedly stayed longer here than even at beach resorts in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne. Many chose to visit unexplored sites in the province like La Gi, Ham Thuan Nam, and Bac Binh.-Enditem
