HCM City (VNA) – Deputy Minister for Planning and Investment, Nguyen Bich Dat, will lead a high-level delegation to Singapore from March 4 to 6 to seek investors in the real estate sector.
The business delegation will comprise six top city and provincial leaders and some 50 Vietnamese real estate developers.
The leaders will represent the cities of Ha Noi and Hai Phong and the provinces of Bac Ninh, Ha Tay, Hung Yen and Thua Thien-Hue.
Dat and the Vietnamese provincial leaders will address delegates attending Viet Nam Real Estate 2008 Conference in Singapore , which will highlight investment opportunities for residential, office and commercial buildings, serviced apartments, and tourism and resorts projects in the northern and central regions.
Interest is expected to be high in development projects in the emerging north and central area, with the escalation of land prices in the southern region in recent months.
The demand for housing, offices and commercial spaces, hotels and serviced apartments remains high while supply still lags behind.
The two-day conference is organised by Synergy Int’l Events Pte Ltd of Singapore and Vietnam Economic Times newspaper.
It has the support of the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre of Northern Viet Nam and the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, CapitaLand Group and KeppelLand are two major sponsors of the conference.
“The high level delegation reaffirms Singapore ’s position as an ideal hub for attracting foreign investments into Viet Nam ,” said Rayner Au, chief event officer of the conference.-Enditem
