Ha Noi (VNA) – Policymakers, researchers and businesspeople from Southeast and East Asian countries will gather at a forum in Ha Noi on February 22 to share experiences in economic integration.

The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) and Viet Nam ’s Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) will co-host the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asian (ERIA) forum which was an initiative of Japan and approved by the third East Asia Summit in Singapore in November 2007.

ERIA draws the participation of 16 ASEAN and East Asian economic research institutes, the ASEAN Secretariat and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with the purpose of becoming an international economic research institute which specialises in researching policies on economic integration and providing consultancy on policy-making.-Enditem
