Envoy present credentials to Bolivian President

22/02/2008 -- 9:34 PM

Ha Noi (VNA) – “Although being far apart geographically, Viet Nam and Bolivia share many similarities as well as cooperation potentials,” Bolivian President Evo Morales Ayma told a Vietnamese diplomat.

He was receiving Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Thac Dinh who presented his credentials on February 18.

He expressed his wish that Bolivia and Viet Nam would increase the exchange of high-level and business delegations and cooperation in the fields that are strengths of both sides such as oil and gas.

The host agreed with the Vietnamese diplomat’s proposal that both sides should carry out a trade and investment promotion programme to enhance bilateral ties in the field to match with the two countries’ fine relationship and potentials.

Apart from bilateral ties, President Morales hoped that the two countries would promote cooperation within the framework of international and regional forums for the benefits of not only the two countries but also developing nations.-Enditem
