Olympic torch-bearers selected

Ha Noi (VNA) - Vietnamese lawyer Le Minh Phieu, Asian heroine Pham Thi Hue and Nguyen Chien Thang have been selected to take part in the Beijing Olympics’ torch-lit procession. Organisers picked Phieu, Hue and Thang from 350 names up for consideration due to their efforts to overcome personal difficulties and for the contributions they have made to the development of the society. Also attending the opening ceremony will be businessman Truong Gia Binh, singer My Tam and young IT talent Nguyen Khanh Anh Hoang. On April 29, the Olympic torch will be carried along the main streets of HCM Cityginning at Nha Rong Wharf .-Enditem
