Reputed agronomist passes away

Ha Noi (VNA) - Viet Nam’s leading agronomist, Professor and Academician Vu Tuyen Hoang passed away on February 26. Vu Tuyen Hoang was born in Ha Noi on December 2, 1938. He was Chairman of the Viet Nam Union of Scientific and Technological Associations. He was also member of the National Assembly’s Science-Technology and Environment Committee and the Government’s National Council for Science and Technology Policy. He had been presented with Labour Order, first class, Independence Order, second class and won the World Rice Prize and Ho Chi Minh Prize on Science and Technology.-Enditem
