Local operators to compete for 3G licenses

Ha Noi (VNA) – The Ministry of Information and Communications said it will begin during next month the selection process of mobile phone service providers qualified for being granted 3G licenses. Four of the mobile phone service providers operating in Viet Nam will be selected to award the licenses. So far, there are 7 telecommunications businesses meeting the ministry’s requirements to join in the selection process. They are MobiFone, VinaPhone, Viettel, SPT, EVN Telecom, Hanoi Telecom and GTel.-Enditem
