Steering committee for blood donation set up

Ha Noi (VNA) – The Prime Minister has decided to establish a national steering committee for promoting voluntary blood donation led by Health Minister Nguyen Quoc Trieu. Under the PM’s decision, the committee will be responsible for making plans and directing the implementation of campaigns for voluntary blood donation in order to ensure sufficient blood for treatment. It will also propose policies on voluntary blood donation and encourage people nationwide to give blood. Chairpersons of people’s committees of provinces and centrally-run cities are assigned to take charge of the establishment of provincial- and city-level steering boards for blood donation.-Enditem
