Viet Nam wants to learn from Germany

Ha Noi (VNA) – Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Kien says Viet Nam places great importance on boosting cooperative ties with Germany , an important European partner.

Vice Chairman Kien made the remarks during a reception for a delegation from the Financial Committee of the Gernam Bundestag (FCGB), led by its chairman Eduard Oswald, in Ha Noi on February 28.

He said he hoped Germany would promote cooperation and share its experiences with Viet Nam in legislation, judicial reform, financial policy development, budget management and reducing inflation.

The NA Vice Chairman said Viet Nam-Germany cooperative relations have been continually developing, especially in trade, culture and education.

According to FCGB chairman Oswald, Germany - Viet Nam relations are strengthening day by day. He said the regular exchange of delegations at all levels is a vivid manifestation of the two countries’ friendly and cooperative ties.

The same day, the German delegation held talks with the Financial and Budget Committee of the Vietnamese National Assembly, led by Phung Quoc Hien.

The two sides discussed measures to promote cooperation in judicial reform, legislative work, budget management and tax policy reform.

During the February 27-March 1 visit, the German delegation will work with the Finance Ministry and the State Bank and plans to visit Ho Chi Minh City.--Enditem
