Deputy PM Khiem welcomes Japanese guest

Ha Noi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem on February 29 received Inamori Kazuo, President of Japan’s Inamori Foundation, who is on visit to Viet Nam .

Deputy PM Khiem expressed belief that the cooperation between the Inamori Foundation and Kagoshima University with Viet Nam ’s National University of Social Science and Humanities will be further strengthened.

For his part, President Inamori Kazuo said he was pleased with Viet Nam ’s strong development over the past years. He expressed wish to contribute to promoting the relationship between Viet Nam and Japan , especially in education and training, agriculture and rural development.

On the same day, the Inamori Foundation President had an exchange with students from several universities in Ha Noi.

The Inamori Foundation annually presents Kyoto Prize to those who have made significant contributions to the progress of science, the development of civilisation and the enrichment and elevation of the human spirit.-Enditem
