German businesses help Viet-Duc Hospital

Ha Noi (VNA) – German enterprises raised 40,000 USD for the Ha Noi-based Viet-Duc (Viet Nam-Germany) Hospital to upgrade its equipment and health care services.

German Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is on a three-day visit to Viet Nam from February 28, handed over the sum to the Viet-Duc Hospital on February 29.

During the visit, Viet Nam and Germany signed joint statements on the legal and judiciary cooperation between the two governments and the establishment of the Viet Nam-Germany University in Ho Chi Minh City .

A memorandum of understanding on the establishment of the university was inked by Viet Nam ’s Ministry of Education and Training and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).-Enditem
