Nicaraguan President praises Viet Nam’s achievements

Havana (VNA) – Nicaragua ’s President Daniel Ortega Saavedra spoke highly of the Vietnamese people’s achievements in national development, which, he said, helped the country raise its position and prestige in the international arena. President Ortega made the remarks as Vietnamese ambassador Vu Chi Cong presented his credentials at a ceremony held in Managua on February 28 in the presence of more than 1,000 people. The Nicaragua ’s President also praised the glorious victory in the undaunted struggle for national independence, sovereignty, freedom, and national reunification of Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and President Ho Chi Minh. Ambassador Vu Chi Cong affirmed that Viet Nam wants and is determined to strengthen and promote friendship, solidarity and cooperation with Nicaragua.-Enditem
