Sewage system of Huong river to be upgraded

Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – The People’s Committee of central Thua Thien-Hue province has given a nod to a project to upgrade the sewage system in southern Huong (Perfume) river. The project, which will be carried out from now until 2016, has an investment capital of more than 3.1 trillion VND sourcing from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). Once completed, the system is capable of collecting and processing around 70 percent of daily waste water in the region between 2016 and 2020. According to the province’s statistics, around 50 out of 120 sewage release points in the province have not met the standards.-Enditem
