Stock investors smile with rises on both bourses

Ha Noi (VNA) – Viet Nam’s securities market on March 7 continued with the rising trend it saw the previous day as both bourses rallied gains. The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) picked up 28.97 points, or 4.74 percent, to close at 640.14 points. The bourse witnessed transactions of 10 million shares at a value of 659 billion VND at the close of the March 7 trading session. At the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre, the HaSTC-Index gathered 19.06 points, or 9.23 percent, to finish at 225.55 points. As many as 2.3 million shares were traded at a value of 129 billion VND. Investors forecast that the market would continue to rise next week on the back of the State Capital Investment Corporation’s share purchase plan although details have not yet been disclosed.-Enditem
