Denmark’s workwear manufacturer opens factory in Hai Duong

Hai Duong (VNA) – Denmark ’s leading workwear manufacturer Mascot has launched its garment factory and a bonded warehouse in the Tan Truong industrial zone in northern Hai Duong province. The 10 million USD facilities, which opened on March 7, will serve as a centre of material distribution and material quality control for Mascot’s factories across the globe. Addressing the opening ceremony, Mascot Viet Nam General Director Thomas Bo Pedersen said Viet Nam was an attractive destination for foreign investors. He said the construction of the Mascot factory in Cam Giang district is obvious evidence of the improved investment environment in the province. Mascot has signed workwear processing contracts with Viet Nam for the next 10 years, he said. As a result, the company intends to recruit 650 local workers in 2008.-Enditem
