HCM City (VNA) – The Saigontourist Travel Service Company will receive five international cruise ships carrying 4,850 foreign tourists on board during the week from March 10-17.
On March 10, cruise ship Costa Allegra with 1,150 tourists and crew will dock at the Sai Gon port.
The same day, the SuperStar Libra will bring 1,200 holiday makers and crew to Ha Long Bay in northern coastal Quang Ninh province.
Cruise liner Saga Rose from the UK will arrive in Viet Nam for the first time on March 11. Some 800 tourists on board the ship will visit Ho Chi Minh City and southwestern provinces during their two-day stay.
Cruise ship Europa with 900 tourists mainly from Germany and Austria will arrive in Ha Long Bay on March 12 for a four-day tour from Ha Long to Da Nang and HCM City .
Another 800 tourists from Germany will come to Nha Trang and HCM City from March 15-17 on board the Columbus ship.
From early 2008 until mid March 2008, Saigontourist served almost 13,000 tourists from China , the UK , Italy , Spain , France , Belgium , Germany and Austria who arrived on cruise ships.
At present, the company is offering tours to tourists, mainly German and French, to visit Phnom Penh-HCM City-Phnom Penh on river route.-Enditem
