Viet Nam-Japan ties develop intensively

Ha Noi (VNA) – Ho Duc Viet, President of the Viet Nam-Japan Friendship Parliamentarians Union expressed his pleasure at the development of Viet Nam-Japan cooperative ties along the practical and result-oriented direction in almost all areas.

Viet, who is also Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Organising Commission, made the statement while receiving Japanese ambassador to Viet Nam Sakaba Mitsuo in Ha Noi on March 10.

He noted that Japan is Viet Nam ’s leading partner in investment, trade and development assistance, and after the visits between high-level leaders of the two countries, the two sides agreed to build a strategic partnership for peace, development and prosperity of each country and Asia .

Viet said the Japanese parliament, government and people have provided valuable Viet Nam over the recent past. He highly appreciated the important contributions by the Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentarians Union to promoting exchange and cooperation between parliamentarians and people of the two countries.

Ambassador Sakaba Mitsuo pledged to work hard to strengthen relations between the parliaments, governments and people of the two countries, particularly in organising celebrations of the 35 th anniversary of Japan-Viet Nam diplomatic ties this year.-Enditem
