Fourth free HIV testing centre opens in Ha Noi

Ha Noi (VNA) – A new centre providing free HIV counselling and tests was opened in Thanh Xuan district, Ha Noi, on March 10. The centre, which is operated under the Life-Gap project, is the fourth of its kind in the capital city since the first one was established in 2003. The US Centre for Disease Control (CDC) will sponsor the facility’s operation for five years through the Ministry of Health. With an annual grant of nearly 400 million VND and 12 health care workers, including five doctors, each centre is expected to provide HIV counselling and testing services for over 1,800 people per year.-Enditem
