Nation launches first self-made energy management chip

HCM City (VNA)- The first-ever made energy management chipboard in Viet Nam, the VS 8801A, was revealed in Ho Chi Minh City on March 12. The chipboard is the result of a two-year research project conducted by the Viet Nam Semi-conductor Joint-stock Company (VSMC). VSMC General Director Vo Huu Hai said the invention aims to meet production demands for new-generation pocket electronics such as smart-phones, cell-phones, digital cameras, PDAs, pocket PCs and Ipods. Hai said the VS 8801A has been put into test-production by Nokia and Samsung and added that his company has reached a deal with TSMC, a leading world semi-conductor business based in Taiwan , to mass-produce the product.-Enditem
