Surgeons remove giant tumour from woman

Ha Noi (VNA) – Surgeons from the Ha Noi-based Cancer Hospital have successfully removed a 27 kilogramme tumour from the ovary of a Tay ethnic woman. Thirty-eight-year-old Truong Thi M who had the tumour for eight years was rushed to the hospital on March 5 with a swollen abdomen and respiratory difficulties. The resident of northern mountainous Cao Bang province is now recovering after a two-hour operation on March 5, said head of the surgeons’ team Nguyen Van Tuyen, adding that her weight dropped to 26kg from 53 kg before the surgery.-Enditem
