Doctors remove leech from man’s lung

Quang Nam (VNA) – Doctors from central Quang Nam province’s General Hospital saved the life of a young man whose bronchial tube was attacked by a 2.5cm-long leech. Doctor Tran Tan Dung said the victim was hospitalised in critical conditions with a bad cough, a stinging sensation in his lungs, blood discharge and a quick heart beat. Doctors successfully performed surgery after learning that he had been attacked by a leech. The 19-year-old patient Tran Ngoc Canh is on his way to recovery, said Dr Dung.-Enditem
