Incentives urged for building tertiary institutions

18/03/2008 -- 5:21 PM

Ha Noi (VNA) – A Ministry of Finance (MoF) official has called for the Government’s more incentives for domestic and foreign organisations and individuals to invest in building tertiary education facilities.

MoF’s Department of Administration Head Nguyen Viet Hong made the call at a tertiary education infrastructure seminar in Ha Noi on March 18.

Deputy Finance Minister Do Hoang Anh Tuan backed Hong’s proposal, suggesting the Government facilitate land allocation for educational institutions, as well as offer tax exemptions on land use and give incentives for education projects.

During the afternoon seminar session, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan will outline measures to mobilise capital for developing a system of universities and colleges in Viet Nam.-Enditem
