Ireland calls on help for AO/dioxin victims

Da Nang (VNA) - Ireland ’s Deputy Prime Minister Brian Cowen has pledged to work harder to boost bilateral ties in humanitarian issues, especially in helping Agent Orange/dioxin victims in Viet Nam .

Cowen, who is also Finance Minister, made the pledge during his visit to the Centre for Protection and Care of AO/dioxin victims in the central city of Da Nang on March 18.

The humanitarian centre provides care, rehabilitation and vocational training for 70 child AO/dioxin victims in disadvantaged conditions.

The municipal AO/dioxin Victims Association is raising fund to build another centre to provide vocational training for victims in Hoa Vang district.-Enditem
